Salary: $135,000 - $145,000 per year

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and test complex systems for space applications, focusing on camera design, digital design, star trackers, and VPX design.
  2. Work closely with the hardware team to design and develop low voltage hardware and PCB layouts.
  3. Collaborate with software engineers to integrate hardware and software systems.
  4. Ensure all designs meet NASA's rigorous standards for space equipment, including radiation resistance.
  5. Participate in design reviews, providing technical input and recommendations.
  6. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and design documents.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
  8. Stay updated with the latest advancements in space technology and engineering practices.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience in systems engineering.
  3. Proven experience with camera design & digital design.
  4. Strong knowledge of low voltage hardware design and PCB layout.
  5. Proficient in using software for system design and development.
  6. Integration of hardware into multi-functional systems.
  7. VPX design/specification is a big plus.
  8. Familiarity with NASA's standards for space equipment, including radiation resistance is a big plus.
