Collins Aerospace Foley, AL is looking for a Delivery Assurance Intern (Summer 2025), responsible for the relationship between site & supplier through supply chain partnerships. In this role, you will manage deliveries that do not conform to packaging guidelines and work with buyers and suppliers to drive systemic actions to ensure future deliveries are compliant. Partnerships with Production Controllers on the production lines will be critical to ensure line stop parts are prioritized in the receiving process and follow the chain-of-custody through the materials process to the production floor. Inventory reconciliation in the storeroom and material storage improvements leveraging lean methodologies will also be in scope. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter interested in in-house production activities and complex materials flows through systems infrastructure.
What You Will Do:Manage non-compliant (Grief) shipments and log non-conformities in SAP, communicating daily with suppliers and buyers via email, phone, etc. to expedite grief line resolution.Drive resolution of non-conformities, expediting parts off grief-line and reducing average days aging for parts on grief while monitoring the inbound shipments for prioritization of posting and delivery to production lines to avoid line stops.Understand Collins Supplier Packaging Guidelines and works with Receiving team to identify and positively impact occurrences while leveraging Root Cause Corrective Action and DIVE activities with Buyers, Suppliers & Supply Chain focals to drive systemic resolution in the inbound receiving process.Attend Tier meetings with leaders to understand daily material shortages and associated impacts and create and report findings & recommendations for improvement to management.Review and communicate Line of Balance (LOB) and part delivery impacts to prioritize part postings and delivery accordingly while monitoring inbound shipments for prioritization of posting and delivery to production lines to avoid line stops.Conduct cycle counts, clipboard counts and continuous improvement activities in the storeroom related to inventory management and reconciliation and understands Production Control and Material Handler/Dispatcher duties and how Delivery Assurance supports these activities.Be Involved in kaizen events, trainings and/or similar activities as assigned and supports Logistics CI/lean activities by utilizing PFEP and Data analytics to assist with projects focused on material flow & linkage.What You Will Learn:
You will learn how Collins Aerospace's largest assembly plant in Aerostructures manages hundreds of daily deliveries from hundreds of suppliers (both internal & external) and the subsequent management of grief (non-compliant deliveries) and urgent parcel management within that network of deliveries.You will also learn the complex relationship between sites and internal stakeholders (neighboring sites, supply chain, operations, production control, warehousing, etc.) and external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, regulatory agencies, etc.).Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Comp Sci, MIS, or similar.U.S. citizenship is required,
as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractQualifications We Prefer:
Intermediate Excel Experience: V-Look up, basic macro writing/SQL, If/Then formulas.Problem Solving skills/training (Lean Manufacturing, six sigma or similar understanding)Experience using/developing in SAP, Tableau, Power BI, SharePoint or similar tools.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
