Orthopedics Physician Assistant

Our client in Bronx, NY is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join their surgical team (focusing in orthopedics, ENT and urology)! Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience in a surgical specialty, however the team is very open to training the right candidate provided they have a passion for the field, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic.Responsibilities:Full-time positionShift work (days, nights and weekends)Collaborate with a fantastic team of board-certified physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitionersFirst assist in the OR, hospital rounds, pre and post-operative care and in-clinic workObtain comprehensive health histories and perform complete physical examinations during hospitalizationDevelop patient treatment plans and educate patients about discharge careCommunicate patient status information, attend daily rounds, and document progress in the electronic medical recordQualifications:New York Assistant or Nurse Practitioner LicenseBLS/ACLS CertifiedStrong interpersonal skillsProficient with EMR systemsBenefits:Highly competitive base salary with annual revisionsPTO and paid holidaysHealth insurance - medical, dental, and vision401(k)CME allowanceMalpractice insurance
