Internal Medicine Physician Assistant

A health system in Akron, OH, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to lead team-based care for individuals with serious mental illness. You will conduct whole-person assessments while collaborating with primary care and behavioral health providers.Responsibilities:Train and advise Medical Assistants and Peer Recovery Specialists on behavioral, clinical, and social health priorities.Support care coordination efforts.Lead care and disease management initiatives, identifying actionable care gaps.Communicate and coordinate with care providers at CMHCs, FQHCs, and hospitals.Provide direct patient care when unscheduled needs arise.Perform other duties as needed.Qualifications:WA Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license.Desired Skills:2+ years of NP/PA experience.Experience with behavioral health patients.This role offers a meaningful opportunity to impact individuals with serious mental illness in a collaborative care setting.
