Flexan is a global strategic contract manufacturer of custom high-quality silicone and thermoplastic components, sub-assemblies and devices designed to meet the critical requirements of Class I, Class II and Class III medical devices, as well as custom compounding and molding for precision parts.The Quality Inspector performs activities related to quality assurance including, but not limited to: Inspection of components and finished goods, completing associated documentation, and support of other quality-related activities KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Visual inspection, measurement, and functional testing of components and finished assembliesPerform other inspection activities as needed for process validationsDocument nonconformance's when defects are identifiedComply with all company policies and proceduresGeneral document review, scanning, and filing of quality recordsAssist in investigations as neededOther duties as assignedDemonstrates all of Flexan's corporate values: We have an engaged cultureWe embrace the rigor to be safety and quality driven in all we doWe embrace the choice to work hereWe operate with transparency, ethics, and integrityWe consistently meet our expectationsMinimum Qualifications: High school diploma is required2 years of experience performing inspections in a medical device manufacturing environment or equivalent is preferredAbility to read and write in EnglishExperience with MS Office is requiredAbility to use common gauges and measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, pin gauges, etc.Ability to follow controlled quality document instructions when performing tasksAbility to interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsKnowledge of the application of sampling techniquesKnowledge of good documentation practices in a regulated environmentAbility to apply basic quality tools for problem-solving and improvementAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to apply a high level of attention to detail and ability to work independently or as a teamIt is the policy of Flexan, LLC to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
