As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift to transport raw materials and finished products throughout the plant. Benefits start first of the month following 30 days of employment.Generous Time Off: Enjoy 3 weeks of paid time off in your first year.Education Support: Generous education reimbursement.Future Security: Excellent 401(k) plan with 100% match on deferrals up to 10%.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished products throughout the plant.Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.Load and unload trucks using a forklift.Keep accurate inventory records and update the computer system with all material movement.Properly tagging of all finished goods as they are produced and moving to the Warehouse staging areas.Perform routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to the maintenance team.Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate material movement and ensure production timelines are met.Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the forklift and storage areas.Assist with other tasks as assigned by plant management. RequirementsRequiredAbility to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.Flexibility to work overtime or on weekends as needed.PreferredAS400 knowledgeHigh school diploma or equivalentValid forklift certificationMinimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a industrial powered trucks, primarily sit-down forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment Salary Description $19 per hour
