**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year acute experience required
**License:** Valid state license required; pending license not accepted
**Certifications:** ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale
**Must-Have:** Epic charting experience preferred
**Job Description:**
- Work in a mixed unit environment including PCU, Med Surg/Telemetry, and Med Surg.- Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, seizures, myasthenia gravis, craniotomies, and brain masses.- Perform special procedures like lumbar punctures and handle respiratory/thoracic management such as nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management.- Conduct cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.- Provide peripheral line care/management and engage in IV therapy/phlebotomy.- Engage in floating within service lines and potentially between various facilities as needed.- Participate in a two-week schedule notice environment due to staffing needs.- Complete a basic Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam as part of the role.- Function in a teaching hospital environment within a Level I trauma center setting.- Requires completion of orientation and modules prior to the start date.- Ability to float within hospital or to affiliated hospitals nearby is expected for all travelers.
