Frontend Developer

Position: Frontend Developer Rate: 50-60/hr on W2 (No third party or C2C candidates will be accepted for this role) Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid) We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Developer to join our team providing program support. In this role, you will work closely with development project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts to develop and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of WCAG 2.1, ADA compliance, and responsive design principles. All developed components will be thoroughly tested for accessibility using JAWS Reader and various browser plugins. Key Responsibilities: UI Component Development: Collaborate with project teams and UI/UX designers to build reusable, scalable, and robust UI components. Accessibility Standards: Ensure all UI components meet WCAG 2.1, ADA, and Section 508 compliance requirements. Test all components for accessibility using JAWS Reader and multiple browser plugins. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts to ensure business requirements are fully translated into effective technical solutions. Responsive Design: Ensure components are fully responsive across different platforms and devices. Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of developed components across various browsers to ensure optimal performance and compliance. Required Skills: React.js: Minimum of 5 years of experience with React.js, developing scalable and performant applications. HTML5 & CSS Frameworks: At least 5 years of experience working with HTML5 and CSS frameworks to develop dynamic, responsive user interfaces. Accessibility & UX Standards: 5 years of experience ensuring adherence to ADA, WCAG 2.1, Section 508 compliance policies, and user experience design principles. Java: 3 years of experience with Java programming, including the use of IDE tools such as Eclipse or JBOSS Developer Studio. JPA Framework: 2 years of experience working on projects using the JPA framework. Spring Framework: 2 years of experience developing applications using the current Spring framework. Spring Boot & Spring Data: 2 years of experience programming with Spring Boot and Spring Data. Java 8: 3 years of experience working with Java 8 or higher versions. Agile Development: 2 years of experience participating as a programmer in an Agile development environment.
