Job Details:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Maintenance Supervisor/Planner to join our growing team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent role, offering a fantastic opportunity to manage and coordinate the maintenance and safety activities of our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will have a solid background in food safety, industrial manufacturing, HACCP, SQF, equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, mechanical knowledge, electrical systems, quality control, and more. This role requires a candidate with strong leadership skills who can manage a team, oversee projects, ensure safety compliance, manage inventory, supervise performance, manage vendors, and facilitate training and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities and operations, ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standard.
  • Implement and manage a robust preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or electrical issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Manage and enforce food safety standards, including HACCP and SQF.
  • Oversee the quality control processes, ensuring all products meet the highest standards of quality.
  • Lead and manage a team, providing training and development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage all aspects of project management, from planning through to execution and evaluation.
  • Ensure all operations and activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring all necessary parts and equipment are available when needed.
  • Evaluate team performance, providing feedback and implementing performance improvement plans as necessary.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring the best quality and value for the business.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and development programs to upskill the team and ensure best practices are followed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience with food safety, industrial manufacturing, HACCP, SQF, equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, mechanical knowledge, and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes and standards.
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Strong knowledge of safety compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Excellent supervisory skills, with a proven track record in performance evaluation and improvement.
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Proven experience in facilitating training and development programs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent is preferred.
