Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our dynamic Civil Litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment with a leading law firm. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to handle challenging and high-profile civil litigation cases, work closely with senior partners, and make a significant impact in our firm and on our clients' lives.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney in our Civil Litigation department, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Representing clients in all stages of civil litigation, including pre-trial proceedings, depositions, discovery, motions, trials, and appeals.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
- Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
- Advising clients on their legal rights and obligations.
- Collaborating with legal staff to prepare for trial and coordinate case management.
- Participating in business development activities to attract new clients.
- Staying updated with changes in laws and regulations that may affect the firm’s clients.
- Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
- Proven experience handling a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, opposing counsel, and team members.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
