Job Details

The Safety Superintendent is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of construction safety for job sites in the Atlanta area. You will be responsible for managing the safety conditions and performance of assigned projects and ensure that safety onsite complies with OSHA, VOSH, MOSH, company, and client safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety compliance observations at multiple job sites on a daily basis.
  • Build and maintain relationships with safety and project management teams at job sites.
  • Serve as a resource for coaching and educating employees on best safety practices.
  • Develop and perform Job Hazard Analyses.
  • Conduct safety-related training and meetings.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, identifying root causes.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to ensure adherence to safety regulations and policies.
  • Manage safety citations and corrective actions for both company employees and subcontractors.
  • Address and resolve concerns from general contractors and end-customers.
  • Communicate safety hazards to employees, customers, project management, and the Director of Safety.
  • Represent the company during safety audits.
  • Provide timely and constructive performance evaluations of job sites.

Qualifications:

  • Over 4 years of experience in construction safety and health program management.
  • Experience with commercial or civil construction projects, including information, engineering, and logistics.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA regulations, local safety laws, and other regulatory standards.
  • CPR/First Aid certified.
  • OSHA 30/500/510 certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
