Job DetailsJob Details:
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Chief Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in leading our engineering department, managing the design and development of mechanical systems, and ensuring the successful implementation of our engineering strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with a focus on mechanical systems, and a proven track record of successful project management. This role will be critical in driving innovation from engineering to manufacturing, and will require a strong understanding of DoD and government contracting.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the engineering department, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Utilize Creo CAD to design and develop complex mechanical systems.
- Manage ancillary systems and ensure their optimal performance and efficiency.
- Lead the design and development of motorsports engineering projects, if applicable.
- Drive innovation from engineering to manufacturing, ensuring the successful implementation of new technologies and processes.
- Manage DoD and government contracting processes, ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements.
- Conduct performance management of direct reports, providing feedback and coaching to ensure the continued growth and development of our team.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements, and incorporate these into our engineering strategies.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience managing an engineering department, with a track record of successful project management.
- Proficient in Creo CAD and other relevant software and tools.
- Experience with ancillary systems and motorsports engineering is a plus.
- Strong understanding of DoD and government contracting processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on performance management.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to innovate and think creatively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
