Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including posting transactions to the general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
  • Process payroll and assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Prepare financial reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with external accountants during audits and tax preparation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation of all financial transactions.

Preferred Bookkeeper Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in accounting or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience as a Bookkeeper
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
