Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Associate to join our team. This role is integral in delivering high-quality tax services to our clients. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will work closely with clients to manage their tax obligations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic tax planning. This position offers opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a dynamic, client-centered firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and state individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
- Conduct comprehensive tax research and remain updated on tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in tax planning and advisory services for clients to minimize tax liabilities.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and potential compliance issues.
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns and other required forms in accordance with deadlines.
- Mentor and supervise junior tax associates, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and efficient processes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and insights.
- Manage and respond to tax notices, audits, and other inquiries from tax authorities.
- Support the firm’s business development efforts by identifying client needs and cross-selling services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA license or EA highly preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
