Key Responsibilities for Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Process high volumes of invoices in an accurate and timely manner
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements and manage discrepancies
- Handle payment cycles, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
- Perform bank reconciliations and journal entries as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for AP processes
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues or discrepancies
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and support audits as required
Must-Have Qualifications for Accounts Payable Specialist:
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications for Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems
