We are searching for a dynamic and highly analytical FP&A Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our organization's financial planning and decision-making processes. You will be tasked with providing valuable insight into our financial status and supporting strategic business decisions through detailed financial modeling and forecasting. You will be responsible for analyzing sales trends, managing ad hoc reporting, and conducting revenue and expense analysis to improve our financial performance and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive financial models to support decision making related to complex business issues including valuation, profitability, forecasting, and potential investments.
  2. Conduct detailed analysis of sales trends to identify opportunities for revenue growth and areas of potential cost savings.
  3. Lead the annual budgeting process, including the creation of budgets, analysis of results, and preparation of financial forecasts.
  4. Prepare ad hoc reporting for management to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  5. Analyze monthly financial results and provide commentary on variances to budget, forecast, and prior year.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, ensuring accuracy and relevance in financial reports.
  7. Use SQL and Excel to manipulate and interpret large volumes of data, providing actionable insights to drive business performance.
  8. Collaborate with the financial reporting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  9. Support the development of business cases for new business initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting.
  3. Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets.
  4. Experience in analyzing sales trends and conducting revenue and expense analysis.
  5. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to apply data in providing insights and making business decisions.
  6. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear and concise terms.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  9. Proactive problem solver with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.
  10. CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
