Patient Population: Adolescents - Geriatrics Job Requirements ACLS BLS NIH Required Cardiovascular skills: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs Required Medication skills: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills: Care of Chronic/Long-term Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen face masks, Tracheostomy Management Schedule Information Avg Census: 36 Rooms/Beds: 36 Ratios - 1:4 Every other weekend coverage required No Call requirement Scrubs: Royal Blue RTO must be on the submittal No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment 1 Holiday RTO must only be submitted but it is not guaranteed to be approved NO MORE THAN 3 DAYS RTO MAX Unit Specific Information Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Telemetry - on the unit monitoring Telemetry - remote monitoring Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills
