**Shift:** 12H Nights, Every Other Weekend or up to 3 weekends per month if unit is busy; first to float - could float to sister facility

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience

**License:** Required to submit

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:**- 3 years of recent ICU experience, including either neuro or cardiovascular.- RNs are required to titrate drips.- RN required to interpret own tele strips; no monitor techs provided.- Must complete Dysrhythmia Exam within 24-48 hours before acceptance, with a maximum of 2 attempts.

**Job Description:**- Position involves working in a Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery with 32 beds.- Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:2 or 1:1, depending on patient acuity.- Common diagnoses include trauma, falls, gunshot wounds, blunt trauma, motor vehicle accidents, as well as neurological cases like craniotomies and strokes.- Nurses will work closely with a 24/7 in-house Hospitalist or Intensivist and RT services.- Expectation to float to medical/cardiac ICUs and tele units as needed.- Use of various vent and bipap equipment, requiring familiarity with Dreager, Hamilton, Puritan Bennett 840, and Airvo.- Nurses should be proficient in handling and monitoring common titratable drips, including but not limited to Propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, morphine, and dilaudid.- Charge nurses present but do not take patients.- Self-scheduling is available, but the manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs.- Must work three weekend shifts in a four-week schedule; night shifts are Friday-Saturday, and day shifts are Saturday-Sunday.- Potential to float between three ICUs; trauma, neuro, and specialty device skills may be validated.- Maintain professionalism in navy-colored scrubs.- Be aware of potential low census cancellations up to three times per contract.- Use Cerner for charting.- Intensive care level experience preferred, although not required.
