IntePros is currently looking for a Mold Maker to join one of our growing Medical Device clients in Grand Rapids, MI. The Mold Maker will be a customer focused individual responsible for completing preventative maintenance as scheduled, on injection molds. Analytical and excellent trouble shooting skills along with a drive for continuous improvement. Interpret part prints and/or mold prints to complete quality repairs to molds and secondary equipment. Perform polishing work, operate tool room equipment, surface grinders, Bridgeport milling machines, lathes, cutter grinders and sinker EDM. Mold Maker Responsibilities:Modifies and/or constructs tools, fixtures and mold components utilizing manual metal working machineryAble to perform own machine setups with no supervisionTroubleshoot electrical problems with Hot Runner / Valve gated systems, repair and rebuild.Understands form fit and function in mold constructionPerforms close-tolerance machining using detailed blueprints, drawings, and sketchesUses precision measuring instruments in the fabrication of various metals and plastic tools and partsPerforms accurate layout of tolerance and angles required to complete assignmentsComputes dimensions involving radii and compound anglesRecommends ideas for improvementConforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rulesExhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendancePerforms other duties as assigned based on business needsMold Maker Basic Qualifications: Education or Equivalent Experience: High School or equivalentCertificate with USDOL for occupation of Mold MakerExperience: 10+ years of experience Mold Maker Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Trade school classes are preferredWelding skills (TIG/laser)Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job DescriptionSupport and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set targetAble to comply with the company's safety policy at all timesAble to comply with the company's quality policy at all times.Physical & Mental Requirements:Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignmentsSitting and/or standing for extended periodsHearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feetThe ability to be able to lift and carry various items up to 50 pounds#LI-DH1
