IT Support Specialist

to join our IT team and ensure smooth technical operations for our growing workforce.Job Summary:

The

IT Support Specialist

will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the seamless functioning of IT systems. This role is ideal for a problem-solver with strong technical skills and a customer-focused attitude. You will play a critical role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our organization by addressing and resolving IT-related concerns promptly.Key Responsibilities:Provide first-level technical support to employees, responding to help desk tickets, emails, and phone inquiries in a timely manner.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.Assist with user account management, including setting up new accounts, permissions, and security protocols in Active Directory and other systems.Perform regular maintenance on IT systems, including software updates, patch management, and backups.Support remote employees with troubleshooting VPN, connectivity, and other technical issues.Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, issue resolutions, and equipment inventory.Assist in the setup and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for meetings, webinars, and company events.Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement solutions to recurring technical problems.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of IT systems and processes.Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, hardware replacements, and new software implementations.Ensure compliance with data security protocols and company policies related to IT.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).2+ years of experience in IT support or a technical help desk role.Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as commonly used software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).Familiarity with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.Experience with Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).Basic knowledge of server and cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are preferred but not required.What We Offer:Competitive salary range of $50,000-$60,000yr (based on experience).Comprehensive benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and career advancement.A collaborative and supportive work environment.Hands-on experience with the latest technologies.Join Us:If youre ready to embark on a fulfilling journey with a supportive team dedicated to excellence and work-life balance, apply now to become part of our growing family at Artemis Staffing.
