Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: Current chemotherapy administration experience; ability to access/work with ports, work with PICCs, and start peripheral IVs Job Description: - The role primarily involves desk duties, not requiring an Oncology certification. - Nurses will work in an outpatient treatment center with 17 chairs and 2 beds, catering to adult oncology and hematology patients. - The setup includes two floors: the provider offices, exam rooms, and lab on the first floor, while the treatment center and pharmacy are on the second floor. - The position does not require weekend or holiday work, as the center is closed during these times. - Staff includes six physicians and one ARNP. - The job involves alternating between working 5 days of 8-hour shifts and 4 days of 9-hour shifts weekly; a consistent 4-day, 9-hour shift schedule is also acceptable. - Previous employees of affiliated facilities must have a minimum of 3-month separation before qualifying for a travel position. - Familiarity with adult oncology and hematology patient care is essential, and the role is open to first-time travelers. - Floating to other units within a 40-mile radius may be required, with travelers floating before permanent staff if needed. - All candidates must provide references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years. - Completion of non-billable, self-reported modules pre-start and annually, averaging 16 hours.
