Financial Operations Specialist

is responsible for managing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and maintaining accurate manufacturing records. This role plays a key part in ensuring the financial operations are smooth, efficient, and compliant with company standards, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:Review Invoices for Appropriate Documentation and Approval Before PaymentCreate Weekly Check Runs for Accounts Payable ChecksAssist with Monthly ClosingsPerform reconciliations and prepare general ledger entriesReview and Approve InvoicesAssist with Billing and Credit/CollectionsPrepare invoices for Scrap salesComplete and submit the Monthly M3 census formPrepare analysis of accounts, as requiredAudit expense receiptsScan and index invoicesMaintain AR and AP reports & spreadsheetsMonitor job auditing and job closings to provide accuracy in job costingParticipate in physical inventoriesPrepare weekly cash flow forecastingAssist the Corporate Accounting Director and Manager as necessaryMaintain subcontractor receipts for selected subcontractorsPrepare bank deposits and provide detailed information to corporate for postingMaintain customer receipt spreadsheets to support corporate A/R posting of paymentsPerform all other related duties as assignedQualifications:

Strong Problem-Solving and Quality-Control Skills:Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure accuracy and complianceWorking Understanding of Bookkeeping Procedures:A solid grasp of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices to accurately manage financial recordsReliable Job History:A history of consistent and reliable work performance in previous roles, particularly in financial or accounting positionsHigh School Graduate or Equivalent:A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Some college-level coursework in accounting or finance is a plusEPICOR Experience Preferred:Prior experience working with EPICOR software is preferred, as it is commonly used for financial tracking and operations in the manufacturing industryAttention to Detail:Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial transactions, data entry, and documentation.Analyzing Information:Proficient in analyzing financial data and identifying trends, discrepancies, or opportunities for process improvementData Entry Skills:High level of accuracy and speed in entering financial data into the company's systemMath Skills:Good understanding of basic math principles and the ability to perform calculations related to financial operations
