IT Infrastructure Engineer (II, Sr., Specialist, Principal) Requisition ID 2024-13052 Location US-CT-Groton Seat Location EB Poheganut Site Trade Information Technology Shift 1st Security Clearance Required Secret Number of Openings 2 Overview Electric Boat Information Technology (EB IT) is responsible for Electric Boat's enterprise and special use information systems,such as product design environments, collaboration platforms, and office productivity suites. EB IT supports over 20,000 end-users in a wide variety of work environments, networks and locations. Electric Boat Information Technology is pursuing an Infrastructure Support Engineer/Analyst to support a multi-year strategy to modernize the company's IT infrastructure within a robust cybersecurity environment. Candidates can expect to perform project oversight activities as well as system administration work. Candidates will have opportunities to work with Windows and RedHat Linux Servers as well as various cloud IaaS opportunities. Candidates will need to be familiar with Microsoft products, various COTS licensing platforms, Active Directory and Cybersecurity controls. A successful candidate will work with a joint team of EB IT, Cybersecurity, and Customer Support Center personnel to implement, monitor, and improve Electric Boat's IT systems. Position Summary: An EB IT Infrastructure Support Analyst will apply IT knowledge and expertise in a demanding fast-paced construction environment, including but not limited to the following areas: Support security audits and vulnerability assessments Participate in Pentest events Key server vulnerability mitigation SME for multiple systems Monitoring system performance and making recommendations for improvements Responding to user and management inquiries and resolving technical issues associated with special purpose systems Ability to translate NIST 800-171 and RMF security to actionable items Installing and configuring new software and hardware Support a wide variety of IT infrastructure projects Support various EB cybersecurity and EB Legal department ESI discovery efforts Support EB's migration to the Cloud Qualifications Required: Bachelors of Science (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science (CS), Management Information Systems (MIS) Candidate is required to hold an Active Secret Security Clearance with the DoD (Cannot be Interm Secret or below) 2 years of IT engineering experience Preferred: Detailed knowledge of NIST 800-171 and RMF security frameworks Detailed knowledge of Windows 10, Active directory, imaging, vulnerability management, software installation and license management cybersecurity controls and technologies ESI discovery processes Skills Fundamental IT infrastructure knowledge is expected IT project leadership and management skills Strong technical verbal and written communication will be required Ability to adapt to and lead organizational and technical change Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with executive level staff Excellent teamwork will be required Physical Qualifications Kneeling, Light Lifting, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting Environmental Attributes Inside Join our talent pools, get job alerts, and see EB news We can recommend jobs specifically for you Click here to get started.
