Program Rep - IT Enterprise Architect Requisition ID 2024-11766 Location US-CT-Groton Seat Location EB Groton Shipyard Trade Information Technology Shift 1st Security Clearance Required Approved Background Check Number of Openings 1 Overview Opportunity Summary: General Dynamics Electric Boat, the world's foremost designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking a Program Rep - IT Enterprise Architect (Sr., Specialist, Principal) to join the organization within the Information Technology Department.This is a mid-level to senior IT Technical Architect position primarily supporting new submarine programs. The ideal candidate will have an enterprise mindset where achievements are tied to business driven outcomes. Relevant profiles would be experienced in business, information systems, and technology architecture domains as well as the tools and technology utilized to perform this task. The candidate should be an active learner, able to work independently on multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Work with architecture peers to analyze business strategy and requirements to derive the future state architecture. This includes defining the requirements, principles and models that guide the decisions at both the project and enterprise level. Stay abreast of technology trends and the practical application of technology. Analyze current state architectures to identify gaps and deficiencies and develop approaches to address them. Review proposed solutions, balancing the long term strategic with the short term tactical goals. Perform functional and technical design reviews for completeness and compliance with requirements and standards. Learning new technologies and products Collaborate with business constituents, architecture team members, project teams and solution providers to fulfill these responsibilities. Qualifications Required: Associates degree or higher Minimum 4 years of experience as Enterprise Architect experience specializing in general Enterprise Architecture, or a sub-specialty such as Business Architecture, Systems Architecture, Information Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Application Architecture Preferred: PLM Experience Understanding of multiple software development life-cycles methodologies, e.g., waterfall, agile Industry standard Architecture certifications (Ex: TOGAF) Modeling experience Skills Enterprise mindset tied to business outcomes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Works well in a cross functional team environment Excellent analytic and technical skills Join our talent pools, get job alerts, and see EB news We can recommend jobs specifically for you Click here to get started.
