The Director, Bureau of Transportation Statistics position is in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology (OST-R). The OST-R mission is to advance innovation, technology transfer, and breakthrough knowledge; facilitate research and multimodal research collaboration; provide decision makers with useful statistics and information of the highest quality and integrity; and develop a skilled interdisciplinary transportation workforce for the Nation.As a basic requirement for entry into the Senior Executive Service (SES), you must clearly articulate and describe

evidence of progressively responsible supervisory, managerial, or professional experience which involved management of a program or organization of significant scope and complexity.
