The Director, Counterterrorism Center position is located within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), Office of the Deputy Under Secretary for Analysis. I&A specializes in sharing unique intelligence and analysis with operators and decision-makers to identify and mitigate threats to the homeland.The Director, Counterterrorism Center drives an intelligence program focused on delivering high-quality, timely, and objective intelligence tailored to the needs of homeland security customers. The Director works closely with the IC, DHS and the full range of federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, private sector, and international partners to integrate all sources of intelligence and operational capabilities to inform tactical and strategic decision-making on countering emerging threats and risks to national security. The Director directly manages second-line supervisors and leads a team of analysts who produce finished intelligence products tailored to homeland security stakeholders, consistent with IC standards.Specific Responsibilities:

As a basic requirement for entry into the SES, applicants must provide evidence of progressively responsible executive leadership and supervisory experience that is indicative of senior executive level management capability and directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under Executive Core Qualifications and Technical Qualifications listed below. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-14/15 grade level in the federal service or its equivalent in the private sector.
