The GSOC Director, based in LA, will serve as the primary corporate conduit between News Corp GSOC contractors, the FOX GSOC leadership team, and News Corp leadership teams. The GSOC Director will be the administrative and operational custodian for all intelligence service support, vendors, subscription services, and contracts. This role is critical as the local authority on 'corporate duty of care' and will oversee the day-to-day intelligence reporting and monitoring activities of contracted analysts, enforcing established corporate policy and procedures. The GSOC Director will be directly responsible for researching, analyzing, and publishing risk assessments affecting business units across the globe.Essential Functions:Research, analyze and process open-source information to produce strategic intelligence reports, presentations, travel briefs, and security risk assessments.Provide oversight of the collection of international, national, and local intelligence, producing daily/incident-specific analytical reports.Lead and supervise a team of contracted intelligence analysts, responsible for training and development, and ensuring quality of product output.Support operational and tactical intelligence needs by identifying emerging threats and publishing situational reports.Conduct contract compliance audits to ensure GSOC operations are performing in accordance with existing SLA/SOW legal agreements.Manage account recruitment, orientation, training, development, and retention of contracted staff.Direct work assignments, provide performance feedback, and perform contract-related administrative duties.Partner with the News Corp and FOX Operational Resilience team to manage the Fusion platform.Work closely with the FOX Operational Resilience team to refine crisis management plans and integrate incident management programs.Monitor email inboxes and assist GSOC analysts with communications and emergency communications drafting.Ensure appropriate security management within News Corporation and Dow Jones are apprised of significant events in real-time.Investigate incidents and create accurate and timely incident reports.Develop and maintain relationships with studio intelligence partners and federal law enforcement.Experience and Skills:Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s desirable in a field related to intelligence or global security and/or 8 years’ experience as intelligence analyst.Formal certifications in intelligence collection or analysis preferred.Substantive intelligence experience in the public and private sectors.Access to electronic databases and third-party intelligence platforms.Strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to operate under stress.Excellent instructional, customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently in a dispersed virtual team structure.Experience with open source intelligence tools and techniques.Willing to work a flexible schedule and travel on short notice.Preferred Skills:Experience with mass emergency communications systems.Understanding of travel tracking systems.Experience with GSOC security systems.Job Category:Pay Range: $110,000 – $150,000We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
