The Head of Marketing Strategy will be a visionary leader responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that align with the company’s long-term business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and brand management, along with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies that drive growth, brand equity, and customer loyalty.

As a member of the executive leadership team, the Head of Marketing Strategy will collaborate across departments to ensure a cohesive marketing approach that supports the company’s mission and values. This role is integral to shaping the future of the company’s marketing efforts and driving innovation in a competitive market landscape.

What You Get to Do

Develop and execute long-term strategic marketing plans that align with overall business goals and drive brand growth and Guest loyalty.

Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

Identify and capitalize on emerging trends and new market opportunities to drive growth and brand equity analyzing market trends and consumer insights to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage.

Oversee the creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences and achieve measurable results collaborating on the development and refinement of the brand strategy, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints.

Mentor and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability.

Utilize advanced analytics to gain a deep understanding of Guest behavior, preferences, and trends, and use these insights to inform marketing strategies.

Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders to enhance marketing efforts.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven decisions that ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI and meet business objectives.

Create and present marketing strategies, plans, and results to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

What Qualifies You

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field. MBA preferred.

Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least eight (8) years in a senior leadership role leading marketing strategy, brand management, and market share initiatives.

Knowledge of marketing automation systems.

Proven track record of success leading and developing people and processes.

Strong knowledge of casino strategic marketing (database, CRM), providing inputs/ideas/innovations on business and marketing strategies, goals, and objectives.

Must be able to secure a license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).

Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).

Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Strong negotiation skills with experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships that drive business growth.
