A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night ICU RN's. 13 Weeks, Every other Weekend/Holiday. Open Heart Trained.Job Requirements

Looking for night ICU RN's with BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification.WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE/SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDED.RNs are required to titrate drips.# of Beds: 33 beds, average daily census is 16- Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for Peds- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Pediatrics, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Any cardiac drip, insulin, sedation- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula to vent- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RNs required to read and interpret- Floating Requirements: Typically to PCU, possibly to MedSurg- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 3 shiftsSchedule Information
