Position Summary
To plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the Geographic Information System (GIS) Division of the Planning Department including the development, design and implementation of the City's Geographic Information System program; to coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to higher level management staff.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, data sciences, planning, geography, business administration, public administration or a related field;
and
Seven (7) years of professional GIS experience;
and
To include four (4) years of direct supervisory experience in a management and/or administrative capacity.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.Preferred Knowledge
