partners with local governments, tribes, community action agencies, community-based organizations, and nonprofits to provide community assistance and services to promote individual and family self-sufficiency and reduce poverty; address the causes and effects of crime and interpersonal violence; and increase equity and belonging for underserved and historically marginalized communities by centering the voices of lived experience.The

Office of Crime Victims Advocacy (OCVA)

is housed within the Community Services Division. OCVA advocates on behalf of victims, administers grant funds for community programs, assists communities in planning and implementing services, and advises local and state government agencies of practices, policies, and priorities.OCVA Program Coordinator Duties:OCVA funds victim services across the state, working with nonprofits, tribal governments, and local governments. This position will work in all three of OCVA’s programmatic areas (sexual assault, domestic violence, and victims of crime). This position will work with each team when there is a need for additional supports due to things such as (but not limited to): staff vacancies, new funding, or new program implementation strategies.Program Development:Assist with the development of funding applications and track the status of applications submitted.Review applications to verify they are complete, follow up with applicants on any questions or issues.Grant Management:Prepare, review, and route grant documents, including an approved budget and scope of work.Monitor grants to ensure the work plan and budget are on track, including reviewing and approving invoices and analyzing service and activity data.Conduct formal site visits and monitoring reports, as well as informal communications such as emails and phone calls. Complete risk assessments and monitoring plans for each grantee.Communicate with section managers on grantee performance and coordinate additional supports or actions needed.Technical Assistance:In consultation with the section manager, provide information and resources on grant compliance and victim service best practices.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree AND two years of professional experience in community, trade, or economic development with a focus in management or delivery of services and/or administration of crime victims services/assistance or related field (crime, victim services, mental health services, etc.).If the applicant does not have a Bachelor’s Degree, six years of professional experience, or a combination of higher education and professional experience as described.A graduate or advanced degree may substitute for one year of the required experience.One-year experience working for or in partnership with organizations based in marginalized or underserved communities and Native American tribes.Experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) competencies.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with grants to community-based and criminal justice organizations assisting crime victims.Experience interpreting and applying detailed policies and procedures.Ability to meet budget, grant, and reporting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to develop, organize and conduct application and contracting processes including writing and negotiating performance-based grants.Demonstrated high-level interpersonal communication skills with both grantees and colleagues.To be considered for this position the following are needed:A complete and detailed online application.A cover letter (enter online).At least three professional references (enter online).For questions about this recruitment, please contact our recruitment team via email:
