We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers. Our Test Environments Team is seeking a Lab Lead to be part of our Lab Support section. The Lab Lead will be responsible for managing Engineering Labs located in Goleta at the EW site that develops and tests product line to support multiple mission areas.This position is an onsite position located in Goleta, CA.Responsibilities to Anticipate:Provide Lab Lead oversight to implement and maintain Operations of Engineering Lab Areas; includes management of Lab Operating Procedure (LOP), Foreign Object Elimination (FOE), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) policies, and Access Management.Management of property, metrology, tool control, and Environment Health Safety & Sustainment.Oversee audit/assessment preparation. Overseeing Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and assist in the development of long-range objectives, including program goals.Safeguarding of proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations (ITAR Compliant).Develop and implement communication plans, providing consulting support to functional and program management.Responsibilities also include supporting AS 9100/ISO 9001 audits, DCMA audits and EHS audits.Basic Qualifications:Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.Experience in an engineering lab environment area that includes safety, compliance, and/or property management.Knowledgeable in lab safety and/or 6S (Housekeeping).Experience with AS 9100/ISO 9001 audits.Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)Data analysis and troubleshooting skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to work well with others and on teams. Highly motivated self-starter.Working Knowledge of lab run rules, policies, and procedures.Knowledge of ESD Controls (Garment control, wrist straps, Static Safe Work Station (SSWS), and monitoring).Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).What We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
