team: The Director, Corporate Development and Strategy role is focused on completing strategic analysis on key topics RTX is facing with a long-term outlook. Strategic analysis can include analysis on growth opportunities in international markets, technology shifts such as artificial intelligence, and assessment of industry peers. It also includes a biannual portfolio assessment process to evaluate the elements of the RTX portfolio for performance and growth, resulting in a list of recommendations for the company to drive improved performance. Role may also focus on supporting transactions (buy-side or sell-side) as RTX continues to reshape its portfolio. What You Will Do Primary impact is development of strategic actions to improve RTX’s long-term positioning. Role leads specific strategic projects and ongoing deliverables (such as competitive intelligence and earnings assessments) that are shared with senior leaders at RTX. This leader is responsible for the guidance and delivery of the work products from their team. Frequent communication with the business units to drive alignment on strategic assessments are required while maintaining independence in thought. Complex analysis needs to be summarized in presentations, meaningful to an audience that is not steeped in the background data. Primary communication audience is senior leadership team and business unit partners. Innovation is constantly required for the role as innovative strategic recommendations are continuously required. In addition, innovative methods to complete benchmarking of trends required. Role includes analyzing and making strategic recommendations for complex RTX challenges and opportunities impacting us and requires a long-range outlook on problems RTX is facing. Role may include supporting acquisitions, divestitures or partnerships as the need arises. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience Experience on how to build a strategic assessment including data analysis is required Handle multiple detailed projects simultaneously Ability to create and iterate financial models U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
