Every Cure, Baltimore, Maryland, United States,

Every Cure is an AI-driven nonprofit, biotech organization that was founded to uncover and repurpose existing drugs to treat the millions of patients who suffer from diseases without approved treatments. By focusing on drug repurposing, we aim to provide affordable and accessible therapies for those suffering from diseases that are often overlooked in traditional drug development. Through artificial intelligence technologies, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and patient advocacy, Every Cure is dedicated to unlocking the full potential of existing medicines to treat every disease and every patient we possibly can. Inspired by Every Cure’s co-founders' work repurposing drugs for Castleman disease and other rare diseases, Every Cure has been featured in USA Today, Good Morning America, and Wall Street Journal. Led by a talented leadership team and an outstanding Board of Directors, Every Cure is supported through funding from leading philanthropic organizations like Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and Elevate Prize Foundation and a federal contract with ARPA-H.Our approach:AI-Powered Identification:

We use advanced artificial intelligence to analyze the world’s biomedical knowledge and identify FDA-approved drugs that can be repurposed for untreated conditions. This cutting-edge technology enables us to explore new therapeutic possibilities efficiently.Open-Source Commitment:

We are dedicated to making our predictive pipeline open-source, fostering collaboration and transparency within the scientific community and unlocking the potential for discovering new treatments.High-Impact Focus:

We prioritize drug repurposing opportunities that can benefit neglected patient communities, ensuring our efforts address the most pressing needs.Rigorous Validation:

Promising opportunities are thoroughly validated through laboratory and clinical studies to confirm their efficacy and safety before advancing to broader application.Equitable Access:

We are committed to ensuring that new cures are accessible to all patients, regardless of geographic or economic barriers. The

Vice President of Discovery

will be responsible for driving the preclinical research strategy and overseeing the evaluation of a large pipeline of potential drug candidates for Every Cure. This position plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the tech and medical teams, ensuring that cutting-edge scientific approaches such as proteomics and real-world evidence (RWE) are employed to identify and validate drug repurposing opportunities. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Discovery will manage the early-stage research pipeline, delivering a robust set of pairings for the medical team to advance through clinical development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AI-driven biotech or pharmaceutical companies and expertise in managing large-scale drug pipelines. How you will make an impact:Lead the discovery process to identify, evaluate, and prioritize approximately a thousand potential drug candidates from tens of millions of possibilities, leveraging advanced technologies such as proteomics, in-silico modeling, and real-world evidence (RWE) to ensure the most promising options are advanced to the medical team.Collaborate closely with the tech team to integrate machine learning, AI, and knowledge graph approaches to advance drug repurposing opportunities.Drive the strategic development and implementation of preclinical research initiatives, ensuring efficient management of resources and alignment with Every Cure’s mission.Oversee the process of delivering robust preclinical data packages to the medical team, ensuring that each candidate is supported by evidence for potential advancement to clinical stages.Establish key partnerships and collaborations with external research facilities, laboratories, and biotech companies to leverage innovative techniques in drug discovery.Build and manage a small team focused on early-stage drug discovery and development.Provide thought leadership in managing large drug pipelines, particularly in identifying the most promising candidates for further development in a resource-efficient manner.Collaborate with senior leadership, including the Chief Medical Officer and the Vice President of Medical Operations, to ensure smooth transition and handoff of validated drug candidates to the medical team for clinical trials. What you bring to the team:Education:
