We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Manager for our Sterile Processing Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Sterile Processing Department, including staff, supplies, and equipment. This role is critical in maintaining the safety and effectiveness of our healthcare services. The Permanent Manager will ensure that all sterilization and disinfection processes meet or exceed industry standards and comply with all regulatory requirements. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring the efficient and effective sterilization of all surgical instruments and medical equipment.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Manage department staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  4. Collaborate with other department managers and hospital administration to improve processes and patient outcomes.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory of sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  6. Ensure that all sterilization equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
  7. Conduct regular audits of sterilization processes and procedures to ensure quality and safety.
  8. Provide ongoing education and training to department staff on sterilization standards and best practices.
  9. Lead and participate in departmental and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.
  10. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in sterilization technology and practices.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sterile Processing, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  2. Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution (CSPD) is required.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of sterilization practices and procedures, including steam, plasma, and chemical sterilization.
  4. Experience with inventory management and control.
  5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
