Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is a vital part of our finance team, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, assisting with the audit process, and developing internal control processes. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial accounting, general ledger, and account reconciliation. They will also have experience in preparing financial reports and supporting the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. The ability to manage prepaid, accrivals, and property tax schedules is also a key requirement for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports, providing clear and accurate financial information to management.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and deadlines are met.
- Assist with the annual audit process, providing necessary information and documentation to auditors.
- Develop and implement internal control processes to ensure financial data integrity and compliance with financial regulations.
- Manage prepaid, accruals, and property tax schedules, ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to achieve financial objectives and improve financial processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, general ledger, and account reconciliation.
- Experience in preparing financial reports and supporting the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Experience in assisting with the annual audit process and developing internal control processes.
- Ability to manage prepaid, accruals, and property tax schedules.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
