Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is a vital part of our finance team, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, assisting with the audit process, and developing internal control processes. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial accounting, general ledger, and account reconciliation. They will also have experience in preparing financial reports and supporting the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. The ability to manage prepaid, accrivals, and property tax schedules is also a key requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  2. Perform account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  3. Prepare financial reports, providing clear and accurate financial information to management.
  4. Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and deadlines are met.
  5. Assist with the annual audit process, providing necessary information and documentation to auditors.
  6. Develop and implement internal control processes to ensure financial data integrity and compliance with financial regulations.
  7. Manage prepaid, accruals, and property tax schedules, ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner.
  8. Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to achieve financial objectives and improve financial processes.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  3. Strong understanding of financial accounting, general ledger, and account reconciliation.
  4. Experience in preparing financial reports and supporting the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  5. Experience in assisting with the annual audit process and developing internal control processes.
  6. Ability to manage prepaid, accruals, and property tax schedules.
  7. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and accounting software.
  10. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
  11. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  12. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  13. Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
