Who we are
At City Storage Systems, we're building Infrastructure for Better Food. We help restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery. Our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality and convenient for everyone. We're changing the game for restaurateurs, whether they're entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant all the way through to your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.

Maintain and operate the Istio service mesh of all CSS microservices across tens of Kubernetes clusters in multiple cloud providers. Operate and develop various egress and ingress solutions for CSS services. Design fault-tolerant architectural systems that scale proportionally with business growth and can stand the test of time. Write, debug, maintain, and test code in a high-velocity agile environment. Work alongside other engineers and stakeholders to improve overall systems, availability, and SLO. What we're looking for
5+ years of infrastructure software engineering experience, specializing in Kubernetes, Istio, Security, and Network, and public cloud providers like Azure, GCP, and AWS. Highly technical, able to participate in technical design. Experience on core infrastructure, or platform engineering teams. Subject matter expert in an infrastructure domain. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience. Expertise in distributed systems, and experience designing large-scale distributed systems that are scalable, reliable, and with high performance. Experience in Golang development. Why join us
Growing market: You'll be focused on an $80 billion market that's projected to reach at least $500 billion by 2030 in the US alone. Changing the restaurant industry: You'll be part of a team that helps restaurants succeed in online food delivery. Collaborative environment: You will receive support and guidance from experienced colleagues and managers, helping you to learn, grow and achieve your goals, and you'll work closely with other teams to ensure our customer's success.
What else you need to know
This role is based in our Seattle office location. We believe that people do their best work when they are together. As a company, we're in the marketplace of ideas and innovation. When you're constantly innovating, changing how an industry works, inventing new products and processes - and we are doing all these things - we believe we're better as a team in-person. That's why all of our teams (except for our field-based roles) are now working from one of our office locations 5 days a week. Looking forward to sharing more about a Career of Substance at City Storage Systems.
