The Power Platform Developer III will develop tools, templates, applications, and sites using Microsoft Power Platform including Power BI, PowerApps, and SharePoint Online. This is a highly visible position and will require a self-motivated, well-versed, and knowledgeable candidate to support the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan Design and Develop:
    • Perform as Power Platform developer supporting the Program Management Office.
    • Collaborate with the customer to collect requirements and create designs for the development of Microsoft O365 web-based applications.
    • Assist Project Managers and customers to create detailed project plans outlining functional requirements, application architecture diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, and work breakdown structures.
    • Document the design and functionality of web-based applications for planning and reporting purposes.
    • Develop and enhance SharePoint web applications, websites, and SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts.
    • Develop PowerApps to support process reengineering and automation efforts.
    • Create Power BI dashboards and interactive reports with visual analytics using Microsoft Power Platform.
    • Ensure all work adheres to sound Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Security Management
    • Perform User Access Management based on the federal security requirements.
    • Identify and correct security vulnerabilities in applications.
    • Document and resolve any security findings in compliance with best practices.
  • Operational Support
    • Provide ongoing support for deployed products, including troubleshooting and defect resolution.
    • Engage directly with customers and program staff to address technical matters and gather feedback.
    • Respond to requests for information and documentation during internal system reviews and audits.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Work effectively within a small application development team environment, offering feedback and guidance to colleagues.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and solutions.
  • Training and User Support
    • Conduct training sessions for customers on SharePoint and Power Platform applications.
    • Develop comprehensive user documentation for all newly developed applications.
  • Stay updated on the latest Microsoft technologies and recommended best practices to enhance application development support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or similar degree.
  • 5 years’ experience supporting government projects.
  • 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • 2 years’ experience in supporting project management and cost tracking for projects.
  • 2 years’ experience in developing Power Platform and SharePoint tools to enhance budget formulation and execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a commitment to high-quality output.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience with management information systems (e.g., financial, accounting, budget, purchasing, etc.).

Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding.
