Currently, we are partnered with a preferred client in the Aerospace/Aviation/Defense industry in search of a highly talented Lead Systems Administrator.

Job Summary:

The Lead Systems Administrator will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Redhat/Oracle Linux systems (physical and virtual) while implementing and maintaining security controls in compliance with DoD security frameworks. This role requires experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD processes, and DevSecOps tools.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Redhat/Oracle Linux systemsDeploy infrastructure through automationImplement and maintain security controls compliant with DoD frameworksUtilize CI/CD, agile system development, and DevSecOps tools and processesAutomate Linux using Kickstart, Podman, Ansible, and PuppetIntegrate Linux and Windows systems in a unified Active Directory DomainCreate and use containers in Linux and Windows environmentsCustomize, optimize, and troubleshoot enterprise-level applicationsPerform security administration in support of RMF requirementsIntegrate RMF principles into ground-up buildsWork with continuous integration, build management, and automated test frameworksUse and create LDAP for Windows and Linux IDMQualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of relevant experience, orGraduate Degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, orMinimum of 13 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degreeDoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+)Active TS/SCI with CI poly clearanceExperience with testing applications such as Jenkins, Jira, and BitbucketMust be able to work onsiteKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong knowledge of Redhat/Oracle Linux systems administrationProficiency in infrastructure automation and DevSecOps practicesFamiliarity with DoD security frameworks and RMF requirementsExperience with CI/CD processes and toolsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentPreferred Additional Skills:

Current Linux Certifications (e.g., RedHat RHCSA or RHCE, CompTIA Linux+)Experience with IT tools for managing complex computer networksPrevious experience supporting DoD & IC Government customersHardware/software requirement verification/system validation experienceExperience with virtualization (KVM), backup technologies (NAS, SAN, iSCSI, SAS)Experience integrating and administering cross-domain systemsFamiliarity with microservices and containers (e.g., Docker)
