Currently, we are partnered with a preferred client in the intelligence community in search of a highly talented Systems Administrator (Linux) with TS/SCI w FSP clearance.

Job Summary:

Our client seeks a Linux Systems Administrator for a long-term contract supporting the intelligence community. The role involves installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining both Windows- and Linux-based architectures. The successful candidate will focus on improving platform stability and performance, maintaining and enhancing security, monitoring system health, and troubleshooting issues.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide daily operational support for Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems and applicationsSupport virtual and physical infrastructure of servers running CentOS in dev, test, and production configurationsDevelop and maintain environments running in Amazon Web Services (AWS)Monitor security feeds and dashboards to maintain system integrity and securityDevelop and maintain standards and procedures for applications across a complex computing infrastructureCreate and maintain comprehensive documentationMonitor application and OS performance; analyze, document, and remediate incidentsDevelop and oversee implementation of testing strategiesLeverage scripting and system automation toolsResearch and recommend hardware and software, coordinate installation, and provide backup recoveryCollaborate with system administrators, engineers, and clients for proper application integrationQualifications:

Active TS/SCI w FS Poly clearanceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experienceExtensive experience with Redhat and/or CentOSDemonstrated experience with VMWare ESXi infrastructure 6.x + vCenter server, host clustering with HA, DRS, replicationProven experience in server builds using automated mechanismsStrong expertise with Ansible and/or PuppetExperience with Ansible playbooks for virtual and physical instance provisioning, configuration management, and patchingProficiency in building, upgrading, and maintaining applications and services in AWSExperience with code maintenance using Git, GitLab, and/or GitHubFamiliarity with Atlassian Jira and ConfluenceExperience managing Elasticsearch on CentOSKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Deep technical knowledge of systems, networks, and application securitySolid understanding of enterprise-level security frameworks, policies, processes, and standardsStrong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issuesAttention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentExcellent collaboration skills to work with various IT professionalsProficiency in scripting and automation toolsStrong documentation skills
