Responsibilities include escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining and recording vital signs/medication lists, monitoring patient flow, assisting physicians with minor clinical procedures, performing EKGs, preparing patient charts, administering medication as directed, scheduling diagnostic tests, and performing various administrative duties. Ensures compliance with infection control policies, maintains patient privacy, and performs allergy testing and spirometry tests.Essential Duties:Follows policies and procedures; demonstrates ability to access online manuals and references.Transfers learned scientific knowledge into practical application in applying the nursing process.Completes nursing assessment and screening upon patient arrival at each appointment.Interprets assessment information and formulates nursing diagnosis.Maintains problem list, medication list, and allergies list.Administers medications as ordered and completes re-assessments as indicated.Documentation is complete and correct on all encounters.Provides patient and family education as needed based on diagnosis or treatment plan.Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team including the patient and family.Manages time effectively and organizes responsibilities.Observes regulatory agency requirements including National Patient Safety Goals.Participates in quality measures and improvement initiatives.Participates in professional development activities.Accepts and completes additional duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Grandfathered from BSN if hired prior to 12/2019.1 year RN experience required (preferably in allergy/immunology).Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.Knowledge of medical procedures and conditions and ability to perform duties in accordance with policies and regulations.Required Licenses/Certifications:Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing).Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) must be obtained within 30 days of hire if no card upon hire.The hourly rate range for this position is $46.00 - $76.07.
