As a Senior Software Engineer on User Safety, you will be responsible for designing and building large scale backend systems for behavioral interventions and consequences, education, and transparency. You will be a core part of applying UX research and behavioral science to reduce long-term recidivism and make Roblox a safe platform for all users. You will work on services with substantial scaling needs in the critical path of many critical user journeys, and you will feel a true sense of ownership and responsibility in thoughtfully and fairly protecting our users, while carefully balancing freedom and civility.

You Will:Develop the next gen unified access management platform - secure, accessible and reliableDesign and build backend services across large distributed systemsManage end-to-end solutions from creation to deploymentHelp establish next-generation standards on the backend stack for the teamWork with ML counterparts to build Identity attribute estimation models.You Have:4+ years of experience building highly-available and large-scale distributed backend services4+ years of experience building and shipping products to production4+ years of experience working on multi-person codebases, including open-source or personal projectsExpertise in compiled languages such as C#, .net or Java.Familiarity with data pipelines and ETLInterest and motivation for user identity and platform safetyCustomer first approach and excellent cross team collaboration skillsYou Are:Versatile:

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
