NoPosition Summary:

The Associate Vice President for Human Resources (AVP for HR) provides leadership, direction, and oversight for The Office of Human Resources and serves as the Title IX liaison for employees of the College. The AVP for HR reports to the Vice President for Talent and Culture and is the direct supervisor of the Human Resources Manager, the Talent Acquisition Manager, the HR Generalists, and the Executive Associate for HR. The AVP for HR utilizes varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide leadership, supervision, coordination, and management of human resources functions, programs, and services including employee relations; talent acquisition; talent management; classification and compensation; benefits and wellness administration; professional development and training; compliance; performance management; HRIS and employment records.Work proactively to address employee relations matters by implementing strategic management measures, such as employee/labor relations briefings and training for managers and supervisors as needed. Manage employee relations including complaints, coaching, discipline, investigations, and performance improvement plans.Manage and oversee the performance evaluation process (including initial probation process and annual evaluations). Counsel and advise supervisors on performance matters to include providing recommendations for process improvement plans as well as implementation of performance process improvements.Lead initiatives that foster a culture of empowerment, accountability, and positivity to inspire employee engagement and enhance retention at the College.Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes for faculty and staff.Ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), and other State and Federal laws.Oversee the Employee Handbook with Faculty Addendum, including the annual review.Administer fair and equitable hiring processes for faculty and staff.Oversee the establishment and maintenance of a comprehensive personnel records system.Serve as the Title IX liaison for employees.Other duties as assigned.Salary:
