OverviewJob PurposeICE Futures U.S., Inc., a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. presents a unique opportunity for a full time Manager to join its Market Regulation team.  ICE Futures U.S., Inc. is a U.S. derivatives exchange registered with and regulated by the CFTC as a contract market for commodity futures and options.  The Market Regulation Department is responsible for enforcing the Exchange’s rules through market advisories, investigations and disciplinary actions.  In this position you will be responsible, with minimal supervision, for monitoring and reviewing activity in various cash settled and physically delivered futures contracts to ensure orderly markets, approving position limit exemptions based on a review of the relevant application and the Rules of the Exchange, engaging in monitoring of position data to detect potential violations of Exchange rules and CFTC Regulations, and providing guidance to market participants based on their dynamic needs.  You must be professional, proactive, analytical, able to collaborate with others, create efficient, innovative approaches to gathering and analyzing data, and communicate clearly and concisely.ResponsibilitiesMonitor the relation between cash commodities and futures markets, particularly in energy and agricultural marketsAssess new products launched to ensure systems and relevant surveillance controls are prepared to accommodate the new productsReview and approve applications for exemptions from position limits with minimal supervisionRespond to inquiries related to position limits, open interest, product specifications and delivery procedures with minimal supervisionResearch data from a variety of real time and post trade systems to identify abnormalities, market surveillance breaches or potential rule violationsDocument detailed analyses of positions and trading activityConduct investigations of potential rule violations by obtaining testimony, compiling records and drafting investigative reports for presentation to disciplinary committeesBuild relationships with market participants and provide guidance on Exchange rulesWork with large, complex data setsImprove common processes to find efficienciesCollaborate with others on technology and systems to enhance operational processesKnowledge and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Math7 or more years of experience in regulatory or market surveillance rolesStrong analytical and communication skillsKnowledge of relevant Federal regulations, policies and developments which impact market surveillance dutiesKnowledge of commodities markets, particularly financial and agricultural marketsKnowledge of physically settled futures markets, deliveries, commodities and tradingExperience in managing othersFamiliarity with data analytic tools is a plusExceptional written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter who can prioritize and meet deadline pressureComfortable working in a fast paced, high stress environmentAbility to communicate with market participants, federal regulators and executive managementKnowledgeable of futures exchange operations, trading, risk management or regulationsScheduleThis role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.  New York Base Salary RangeThe expected base salary for this role if located in New York City is between 150,000 - 200,000 USD.  The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation.  While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.  Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin or ancestry, age, disability or veteran status, or other protected status.    #LI-HR1 #LI-HYBRID
