Software Engineer, Front End Responsibilities

Lead complex technical or product efforts involving many engineersProvide technical guidance and mentorship to peersImplement the features and user interfaces of Facebook products like News FeedArchitect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applicationsCollaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing productsIdentify and resolve performance and scalability issuesMinimum Qualifications

6+ years of JavaScript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES65+ years of HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibilityExperience with browser APIs and optimizing front end performanceExperience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniquesDemonstrated experience driving change within an organization and leading complex technical projectsCurrently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Preferred Qualifications

Shipped at least one large-scale product to production, supporting millions of active users

$70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
