We are seeking a
Health Educator
for The Department of Oncology, Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) program.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:Implements education and outreach activities to the populations of Maryland and the District of Columbia.Translates print materials, including study and educational materials, into languish understandable to non-medical populationsConducts educational sessions to teach members of the community the basics of cancer prevention and control.Disseminates health and cancer education materials to public, health care providers, and community organizations/partners.Participates in scheduled COE community events to disseminate cancer risk reduction and screening information.Establishes trusting relationships with community members and organizations while providing general support and encouragementMaintains extensive knowledge about community resources and social supports appropriate to needs of community members and partners.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in related discipline.Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
