The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a

Research Program Assistant for the division of Neurosurgical Oncology. Under the general supervision of a faculty investigator this person will contribute to education projects by adapting existing laboratory resources to create new learning content to expand teaching modules.

Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop an online tool to enhance research education for trainees.

Develop topics for training modules, e.g. proper cell culture techniques, imaging protocols, safety in the laboratory, etc.)

Write detailed descriptions and standard operating procedures for each topic.

Assist with film/video for selected techniques.

Assist in incorporating all elements into a dynamic computer module.

Develop questions for the evaluation and assessment portion and incorporate into a graded testing format at the conclusion of the tutorials.

Write feedback questionnaire for tutorials and evaluate data provided.

Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or graduation equivalent.Some related experience in laboratory techniques and operations.Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.Laboratory experience and computer skills to create instructional content.
