We are seeking a
Laboratory Assistant
to work
under the general supervision of a Lab Manager on research projects in the Zarif laboratory.
Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork requires basic use of scientific methods, procedures and techniques gained through lessons taught by supervisors, or previous training and experience.Uses basic understanding of theory behind clinical/translational research and applies basic analytical skills to implement assigned projects, and to identify and trouble-shoot situations needing special attention. Collaborates with other groups and shared work environments.Follows established procedures or protocols and utilizes aseptic technique to perform laboratory tests and/or experiments which may include basic and advanced tissue culture, cell separation methods, basic molecular biology, or other specialized histology and biological science techniques including flow cytometry.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or graduation equivalent.Some undergraduate coursework preferred.
