**Certifications:** Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
**Must-Have:**- ICU experience required; CVICU experience preferred.- Adult care with varying levels of acuity: 1:2 for ICU, 1:4 for PCU, 1:5 for Med Surg.- EKG exam required.- Flexible with scheduling; cyclic staff scheduling applied.
**Job Description:**- Care for cardiac and vascular patient populations, including post-op recovery and post-procedure patients from the cath lab.- Work in a stroke-designated environment, caring for patients with CVA, CHF, and other cardiac and vascular-related diagnoses.- Monitor and manage patients using devices such as Impella, balloon pump, ventilators, BIPAP, CPAP, and administer medications like amiodarone, nitroglycerin, nicardipine, epinephrine, and diltiazem.- Participate in universal care settings, providing support across ICU, PCU, and Med Surg levels.- Wear navy scrubs while on duty.- Undergo a pass/fail open book exam on skills learned during orientation, requiring a 90% to pass.- EPIC charting system experience preferred but not mandatory within six months for orientation.- Contract does not support block scheduling; candidates will coordinate directly with schedulers for flexibility.- Reason To Off (RTO) requests must be submitted upfront, with a limit of seven days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved subsequently.- Cancellation policy allows for a maximum of 3 shift cancellations per 13-week contract.
