Team Structure
This role sits within the Information Technology team reporting directly into the IT Program office in Grand Rapids, MI with dotted line responsibility to the VP of Automation.
Essential Duties
& ResponsibilitiesProactively validate business requirements related to assigned projectsEffectively facilitate scoping sessions with stakeholdersCoordinate, manage and complete assigned projects on time and within budgetDevelop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress within ServiceNow or Monday.comServe as a liaison between IT and business units to coordinate the necessary support needed and to provide successful implementation of project initiativesManage processes to provide structure for new projects and initiatives using IT PMO CoE best practices and tools.Develop project charters, plans, milestones and schedules using the IT PMO standard project templates/tools to ensure projects are completed on time and expectations of project sponsors are met.Daily project management support to project sponsors throughout each project life cycleSupport Program and Project Governance (controls)Validate resource availability and allocation on each projectFacilitate Project MeetingsCreate Project Status ReportsProactively manage risks, actions, issues, and decisions for each projectIdentify project dependencies, assumptions and constraints as part of the planCreate the project stakeholder communication planManage scope and project changes effectivelyCompetencies

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience7+ years of project management experience within a complex IT environment preferably with Automation related projectsHaving both agile and waterfall methodology experience is a plusMust be able to detail hands on experience with the creation and management of large-scale projects spanning multiple departments and stakeholdersProject Management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) preferredInsurance Carrier/Brokerage Industry experience strongly preferredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
A project leader who is comfortable within a fast-paced and often ambiguous environmentSelf-starter with the ability to reach out and engage with stakeholders at all levelsExperience with ServiceNow, Monday.com or similar project management toolsExperience with Microsoft Office365Admin / User knowledge of SharePointFamiliar with the ITIL Framework a plusFamiliarity with Intelligent Automation concepts a plusExperience applying project management best practices and design-thinking approachesExperience working with abstract concepts in innovative ways to solve problemsEffective written and verbal communication, including the ability actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistanceExcellent time management and prioritization skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong facilitation skills, both verbal and written communication.Strong interpersonal skills (Awareness, Self-reflection, Self-motivation)Ability to contribute to a collaborative environment by consistently demonstrating teamwork, positive attitude, and effort to achieve goals and objectivesMaintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlinesAttention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracyThe ability to multi-task, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive informationHigh level of personal and professional integrity.Highly organized with a flexible approach to working.Experience with the challenges of working with teams across time zones and continents.Benefits & Perks:
